Infrared Sauna & Aromatherapy

If you would like to use our essential oils, please add a note when booking indicating which oils or oil blends you wish to have set up for you.

*Please be sure that Sauna sessions are scheduled at LEAST one hour prior to the time of session.

What is the difference between an Infrared Sauna and a Traditional Sauna?

The infrared sauna uses light to create heat.  A traditional sauna uses heat to warm the air, typically at temperatures between 180 - 220°F, which in turn warms your body.  An infrared sauna heats your body directly (using electromagnetic radiation) without warming the air around you, maintaining a temperature no greater than 150°F. Supporters of infrared saunas say the heat penetrates more deeply than warmed air. This allows you to experience a more intense sweat at a lower temperature, as only about 20 percent of the heat goes to heat the air and the other 80 percent directly heats your body.

What are the benefits of an Infrared Sauna vs a Traditional Sauna?

Giving that the Infrared Sauna will only get up to 150°F, it is more tolerable for the average person. Because of this, most people are able to stay in the Infrared Sauna for longer, which increases the likelihood that people will be able to experience the health benefits.
